Preethi Sharma started her acting career as one of the lead actresses in the television serial named Thirumanam telecasted on Colors Tamil channel in the year 2018. She then appeared in a short film named The Harvest. This short film had won many awards. She later acquired an opportunity to act as one of the supporting actresses in the Kollywood film named Kattaduraiku Kattam Sari Illa released in the year 2018.

She then appeared in a crucial role in the television serial Oru Kadhai Paadatuma, Sir? Telecasted on Colors Tamil Channel. Though she acted in a few serials in colors Tamil she acquired the limelight only after the appearance as one of the lead actresses in the television serial Chithi 2 with the character name Venba telecasted on Sun Tv Channel in the year 2020.

She later appeared in guest roles as Venba in many serials telecasted on Sun Tv such as Poove Unakaga, Abhiyum Naanum, Thirumagal, Vanathai Pola, and Kannana Kanne.
