Janani Ashok Kumar started her acting career as one of the supporting actresses in the movie Nanbenda starring Udhayanidhi Stalin and Nayanthara in the lead role. This movie was released in the year 2015. She later enter the Kollywood Television media as one of the lead actresses in the serial Maapillai telecasted on Vijay Tv in the year 2016. She later grabs an opportunity to act in the serial Mouna Raagam telecasted on Vijay TV in the year 2017. This serial was a blockbuster success and she acquired lots of appreciation for her performance in the serial. She subsequently acted in the Sembaruthi serial telecasted on the Zee Tamil channel in the year 2017.
Later she acquired an opportunity to act in the Kollywood film Yemaali released in the year 2018. In the same year, she got committed to acting in the serial Naam Iruvar Namakku Iruvar Telecasted on Vijay Tv. Though she acted in many serials, she acquired lots and lots of appreciation and earn the hearts of the Tamil Audience through this serial.
